My name is Carie Thomas and I am so excited to be teaching Kindergarten! This year will be my 19th year teaching in the district and my 11th in Kindergarten here at Acacia. I have my BA from CSUF, and I received my teaching credential from Concordia University in Irvine. I am a Cotsen Fellow and I am currently a master's student in Instructional Technology Design at Grand Canyon University. I began teaching first grade for 6 years before I decided to stay home with my three children. Our oldest son is now a Junior at Dixie State University in Utah where he is playing football and studying Kinesiology, our daughter is a sophomore at Fullerton College where she is studying musical theatre, and our youngest son is a junior at Troy High School where he plays soccer and football. Time just continues to fly by!
I was born and raised here in Fullerton, where I attended FSD schools. When I am not in the classroom, I love being outside exercising, playing tennis and riding horses! I love cooking and watching my kids play soccer, football, and baseball, and perform in musical theatre.
I am so excited for this school year and I feel so fortunate for this amazing opportunity of teaching Kindergarten at Acacia Elementary! It is a dream come true and I am looking forward to a wonderful year ahead!
My Family: My husband, Michael, and I have been married 29 years and we have three children; Cole (22 yrs), Catelyn (20 yrs) and Cade (16 yrs)
