The Honors course is taught at an accelerated pace and at an advanced level of instruction. The Honors course requires an increased time commitment to homework and study. Students should:
● Be self-motivated and self-disciplined.
● Have good organizational skills.
● Have an interest in reading different types of text.
● Have the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
● Be able to remain on task in class with little to no disruption
● Have exemplary attendance
Should a student fail to consistently demonstrate the above behaviors, a parent-teacher conference will be called to discuss the student’s placement on the course.
