Mrs.O in a Nutshell
Hi there!
I'm Mrs. O, short for Mrs. Oldfield. I might be a familiar face since I've been hanging around Fisler for the last few years. You might have seen me teaching Kindergarten, 2'nd grade, or even 1'st grade. Happy to have landed in the fabulous G6. We have a blast in 1st grade!
Before I started living in this classroom I was in school. Here are a few facts about my education. I graduated from California State University Fullerton with a Bachelors of Science in Child and Adolescent Development in 2009. Right after that I stayed at California State University Fullerton and earned a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with an emphasis in Technology in 2010. I couldn't stop going to California State University Fullerton so right after that I earned my Masters in Educational Technology in 2011. A fun fact about my education, I spent my last semester of my undergrad studying abroad in London. I interned at a school there, and solidified my passion for wanting to become a teacher.
A few fun facts about me, my husband's parents were both teachers. My mother-in-law, Mrs. Oldfield, taught for 30 years and is now retired. She loves to come in and volunteer. So to spare the confusion, I'm Mrs. O, and she is still the reigning Mrs. Oldfield. ;) I come from a family of 3 girls. I'm the oldest. I grew up surrounded by dogs and it wasn't until I moved out of my parents home that I realized I'm also dog obsessed! This lead me to rescuing our 80 pound Husky Shepard mix Harper and our newest addition a beagle mix Franny. We love to hit the trails when I get home from work. My pups are our secret class mascot. I love to go camping, hiking, have picnics, and spend time with friends crafting and playing games. I also love to tap dance, and take a class weekly with my mom. Well that's me in a nutshell! It was nice to meet you!
Kudos!
