Houghton Mifflin California Math, First Grade
Dear Parents,
The Fullerton School District has adopted a new mathematics textbook program beginning in the 2008-2009 school year. Along with the printed materials available in the classroom, with internet access at home, your child will be able to go online to access their textbook pages, e-manipulatives and e-games aligned with the program. You and your child can access the program online by following the directions below:
Go to the website: www.eduplace.com/eservices/
Choose: California
Choose: mathematics
Click on the yellow “California Math” icon
Choose: e-mathbook
Enter the username: fsdfirst
and password: password1
To view the textbook click on the picture of the California Math book that appears on the screen. Click on the Contents button to view the Table of Contents. You may click on the right & left arrows at the top of the page to advance a page at a time or click on a section in the Table of Contents to advance to that section. You may also type a page number in the “Go to page ____” box in the top, left corner of the screen to advance to a particular page.
For additional resources click on the Resources drop-down menu at the top of the page and go to “Education Place” or the e-glossary. At “Education Place” choose your child’s grade level and then choose from brain teasers, e-games, e-manipulatives, test-taking tips or other options. This section of “Textbook Support Materials” is also available in Spanish when you click on the Spanish button. If you are viewing a particular lesson and click on the Resources drop-down menu you will be able to view the homework and practice pages that accompany that lesson.
Thank you for your support and we hope you find these resources helpful in reinforcing your child’s progress in mathematics.
