Genius Academy gives equity in the realm of computer science to the students of the Fullerton School District. This summer program allows students from all schools and backgrounds free and equal access to important topics in computer science. The past three years, students have been exposed to artificial intelligence, coding, and app development. With the partnership with Cod.Ed, a local non profit, students have had the opportunity to see the trends in computer science that the industry sees. This program has become an exciting program students and the community looks forward to every summer.

The most innovative feature of this program is the equity it provides for all students. There are no restrictions and students are selected by a lottery system. Students that are in special education, socio-economically disadvantaged, and Gifted and Talented Students are seen working together in topics that are seen in industry. What makes this program distinct from others is the application of the most recent trends in industry. As the industry sees growth in the realms of aritifical intelligence and app development, this program has applied it and provided it to students. Students are able to experience an intensive two week program that is not seen by any other program.
