Instrumental Music
Every 5th & 6th Grade student in our District has the opportunity to learn and play a musical instrument. This unique program allows for students to discover and continue the instrument of their choice in Junior High through Visual and Performing Arts Electives.

General Music
Students in 3rd-6th grades at most elementary sites will receive weekly music lessons taught by certificated teachers in order to build music literacy and a love for the performing arts.

Arts Centers Lab
The Arts Centers and Labs are an interactive learning environment where students make discoveries through the Arts. Out exhibits tie directly to grade-level standards and focus on learning through the Arts. Our Arts Centers and & Labs include: The Creativity Center of Ancient Civilizations at Fern Drive, Clay Lab at Valencia Park and Commonwealth, and Colors, Shapes, and Numbers at Valencia Park Elementary.
- Colors, Shapes, & Numbers: Students in TK-1st grade will enjoy a dynamic field trip that reinforces classroom learning through art, with activities like exploring shapes and colors using custom art puzzles and becoming living art.
- Clay Lab: Students in 2nd-6th grade have the opportunity to engage in hands-on creativity through clay, shaping and glazing their own creations at one of of our two clay labs. These multi-day field trip experiences integrate the fine arts with core content area standards.
- The Creativity Center-Civilizations and Cultures:
Students in 5th and 6th grade explore history through interactive exhibits on Native American cultures, Ancient Greece, and Egypt with engaging hands on activities.

FSD All the Arts
Every TK-sixth grade child in the Fullerton School District receives lesson in Art, Dance, Music, Theatre and Media Arts as part of their regular school day. These lesson are designed to teach Arts skills and standards, to use the arts as a tool to teach other subjects and culture. In addition, this Arts education program, taught by expert artist-educators, serves as a professional development for classroom teachers as their students are actively participating in the Arts experience. This one-of-a-kind program has been a part of the Fullerton School District for over thirty years, and has been supported by PTA’s, the All the Arts for All the Kids Foundation, as well as individual contributors.
