• Introducing a teacher who is passionate about her students and teaching…Mrs. Joy Arnold! Mrs. Arnold loves teaching 1st grade at Beechwood School. She enjoys making connections with students and families, and making sure they know they are truly part of the learning community she creates in her classroom.  This is her 20th year of teaching in the Fullerton School District. Mrs. Arnold grew up in Fremont, CA. She moved to San Diego for college, attending San Diego State University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. After marrying her husband Erik, she moved to Fullerton where she earned her teaching credential at California State University, Fullerton. She earned her master’s degree from National University. She is currently a fellow for the Cotsen Foundation Art of Teaching program. Mrs. Arnold feels so lucky to teach 1st grade at Beechwood! She works diligently to instill a love of reading, writing, and ‘can do’ spirit in her classroom. Mrs. Arnold currently lives in Fullerton with her husband and three boys. Her oldest just graduated from Beechwood last year and is now attending Fullerton High School. Her other two boys are in 7th and 4th grades at Beechwood. In her spare time, Mrs. Arnold can usually be found on the soccer field, at a football game, reading, or spending time with her family.
