- Readingevery night - Your child may enjoy reading an Accelerated Reader book or sharing a different story with you

- Predict what will happen next.
- Discuss the main idea and details.
- Compare the story to your life and to other stories.
- Write and use new vocabulary.
- Retell the story.
- Practice the spellingwords. A little bit every day will help each child learn the skill being taught, and not just the memorization of a list. Please keep your spelling lists at home. Have your child cut the words up and sort them in a variety of ways to practice the spelling skill being taught.
- Mathpages in Go Math Homework book. At the bottom of homework, you will find what chapter to work on in the Go Math book at home. These Go Math pages do not need to be turned in. There will also be an IXL letter listed that is specific to what we are working on in math. This is suggested and not mandatory.
