Information About Me...

I originally was not a teacher.  I started out in business with a designer clothing label in management.  I hated it!  Around that time my mother suggested that I try substitute teaching while I was reassessing my job options.  After I started teaching I loved it so much that I have never looked back!  It’s my dream job and I work very hard for my kids.

I’ve been lucky enough to have worked with the teachers at Fern Drive since 2000.  I’ve learned a lot from them.  I tend to be a nurturer in the classroom.  I do expect a lot from my students though!  My goal has always been to make learning fun.  This includes using iPads in the classroom as well as art projects, movies, engineering projects, and interactive lessons online.  This year we will have a lot of new and different learning activities both online and at school when we return.  I enjoy letting kids extend their learning through creative projects and exploration.  As always, I'm looking for new ways to make learning more memorable for my students.

I take pride in making my classroom a safe and fun environment for all kids.  I'm looking forward to working with both parents and students to make the year special.
