Mrs. Cynthia Guttenplan

Hello and Welcome to our class! 

I have been teaching at Sunset Lane since 2001, and I'm looking forward to another great year with our amazing students and families!

My husband, Mark, and I live here in Fullerton, and we're both lucky to work close to home. My husband is an engineer and manager at Raytheon. We have two children, both grown and out of the house. Our oldest, Marcus, lives in New York City and works for AWS. Our youngest, Brent, lives in Anaheim. We'll be adding a daughter to the family in September when he marries his beautiful fiancee, Kristen! She is a teacher as well, teaching 2nd grade this year in Anaheim. 

We have two sweet puppies, Lucy and Coco, who keep us busy and entertained! They are sisters and do everything together. I love to take them for long walks almost every day (although walking is not Coco's favorite thing!). She'd rather just lie in the sun... Lucy is a better walking companion, but doesn't like to go without Coco! We also have a cat, Phoebe, who pretends to like the girls, but she's mostly planning on when she can attach them!
