Meet Mrs. Santos!

About Me!

I am 28 years old, and I live in Whittier with my husband, Mike, and my dog, Pinoe. Pinoe is a 3 year old female pitbull mix. In April 2020, we welcomed our first baby, Lando, in to the world. 

We love to spend time at the beach, going to the river, and working on projects, such as my garden! I have played soccer since I was 4 years old, and love to kick the ball around as much and as often as I can. 

This is my first year at Hermosa Drive, and I am so excited to get to teach my wonderful 4th graders! 

My Education

In December 2015, I graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Bachelor's of Science in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Health Education and a minor in Athletic Coaching. I then went on to receive my Master's of Science in Elementary Curriculum and Instruction, as well as earn my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and my Single Subject Teaching Credential in Foundational Sciences from Cal State Fullerton, right down the street from Hermosa Drive.

This year, I am pursuing my GATE Credential and have recently enrolled in two-year program through Fullerton School District's GATE program.

My Childhood

I was born and raised in Southern California and attended schools in Yorba Linda and Anaheim Hills. I grew up with four siblings, two dogs, 3 turtles, 2 rats, a gecko, a chameleon, a few hamsters, and two birds. Can you tell my family loves animals? I also played competitive soccer (club, high school, and college) for 18 years before "retiring." Now, I just play for fun as often as I can!

In addition to loving animals and playing soccer, my family spent most of our time outdoors! Whether it was at the beach, camping, hiking, or riding bikes, my family was always outside enjoying nature! I think that is what has inspired my love of all things science!
