About Me

Mrs. Vasiliadis
I am so excited to be a part of the Acacia First Grade team! More importantly, I am thrilled to work with you and your child! It’s going to be a year full of fun, learning and adventures. I want to get to know all about you, but here’s a little about me:
I was born in Michigan and moved here shortly after first grade. I grew up in Fullerton and have such a love for this community! I completed all my schooling in Fullerton. I attended Rolling Hills Elementary, Ladera Vista Jr. High, Fullerton High School and CSUF. While at CSUF I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Speech Communication Disorders and my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. Go Titans!!
I spent 14 years substituting for the Fullerton School District. Substituting allowed me to be home for my children while still working at a job I love. It was the best of both worlds! This will be my 10th year teaching full-time. I taught Kindergarten at Hermosa Drive and then 1st grade before I made the move to Acacia.
When I'm not in the classroom, I spend time with my family and my pup, Beans. We have two children, Conor and Isabella. I’m just about an empty nester as Conor graduated from SDSU and has embarked into adulthood. Isabella is currently attending SDSU for her Master's in SLP. I enjoy spending my free time at the movies, reading a good book and going to the beach. As a family we spend a lot of time in Big Bear and in the winter we like to travel to Mammoth Mountain to ski and snowboard.
I am so excited about this school year and look forward to a wonderful year ahead!
