Room 10 families,
I hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend.
📋Here is what is happening this week:
✏️Homework: Homework resumes this week. Your child has helped set up their reading log for the shortened week. It is quite possible the dates were not entered correctly. 🙃 As long as they are reading each night with supervision, I don't mind if the reading log is set up incorrectly.
📖11/12 &11/14 Professional Development: I will be off-campus attending district training tomorrow, Tuesday and again Thursday the 14th. I will be out 1 more day next week as well to complete the district program. The class already knows I will be absent. The class as a whole had another great day with our guest teacher last Tuesday. Please continue to encourage your child to follow the 3 R’s in class and out during my absence.
Acacia Foundation: THE ACACIA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL FOUNDATION PANDA DRIVE ENDS ON NOVEMBER 15th! With your donation, your family will have a personalized Panda displayed on our school fence as a token of appreciation. Plus, as a 501(c)(3) organization, your donation is tax-deductible.
Join us in making a difference for our Acacia Pandas! Your support helps enrich the learning experience for every student at Acacia Elementary. Together, we can build a stronger community and a brighter future for our children.

cheddarup.com 🎤November Share: Plan ahead for Wednesday, 11/20. It will be the last time to share this month. Our November share theme is "Antiques Roadshow." Your child may bring something in to share that is older than themselves. Please practice with your child so they are ready to present how old the item is, why they brought the item and what makes it special. Over the years, students have shared Walkmans, cameras, cassette tapes, christening outfits, tools, etc. Have fun with this! Feel free to send in a notecard or sticky note with them to help them remember.
🥫Pathways of Hope: Please join us in creating a special holiday season for our Fullerton friends and families in need this holiday season! Our Pathways of Hope Holiday Community Drive starts tomorrow Tuesday November 12! We need non-perishable food items for grocery support. We need baby to teenager gifts items ($10+) for holiday gifts. We also accept gently used stuffed animals, books and games/puzzles. The gently used item donations are a great way for children to support the drive by picking out and bringing an item they are willing to part with to their classroom donation box. These donations bring so much extra joy to families that receive them so please get your children involved! All families in need get a grocery bag, get to pick out one gift item per child in their family, and choose gently used stuffies, books & games/puzzles to enjoy. In the past couple of years, there has been a need for more middle-school to teenage gifts so items for this demographic including gift cards would be appreciated. All gift cards need to be secured in the office, so hand them off to a drive volunteer or take them to the office yourself for safe keeping. All other donations can be handed off to a drive volunteer or into any donation box around campus (by office, main gates, classrooms). Tis' the season to spread joy!
