    Learning Goal:  Students will write the first draft of Article #4, #5, OR # 6; students turn in their FIRST DRAFT ARTICLE #4, #5,  or #6 and title it FIRST DRAFT ARTICLE #4, #5, or #6 .  Students that are finished work on the ARTICLE #4, #5, or #6 GOOGLE SLIDE PRESENTATION in Google Classroom.  Before turning it in, do the following: 

    • Use font size 14
    • Double Space 
    • Be sure your article goes through 2 peer edits.  Include editors at bottom of First Draft

    Remember to do the following: 

    • Avoid the word "GET."  Choose a better action word. 
    • Avoid contractions.  Write words out completely.  
    • Write in the active voice.  the subject delivers the action.   

    Once article has been revised by me, students turn in the article and retitle it FINAL ARTICLE #4, #5, or #6.

    Learning Goal:  Students write a News, Feature, Column/Opinion,  Editorial, Review, or Investigative article.   Be sure to have a headline and lead ( The lead gives readers the most important information in a clear, concise and interesting manner. It also establishes the voice and direction of an article).   The article needs to include Who, What, When,  and Where.  If the Why and How is not written explicitly, readers should be able to infer the Why and How.
