Information for all classes
  • SUPPLIES

The following items are issued to all students and must be brought to class daily:

    • Planner
    • Pencils
    • Highlighter
    • Binder
    • iPad (fully charged)
    • Willingness to work hard

Notebooks and textbooks are kept in class. If you're like me, and you want to take notes with colorful pens, feel free to bring your favorite pens to class. Avoid glittery or shimmery gel pens because they tend to fade over time. Flair pens, Inkjoy, or Gelocity pens work very well for our purposes!

  • CLASS EXPECTATIONS

Assignments are issued in class or on Google Classroom. ALL assignments will be written in the daily planner. Be sure to check your planner every day so you stay on top of deadlines. Learning how to manage your schedule and your workload is a necessary skill as you progress through your educational journey and onto your career.

Parents, please check the planner nightly and encourage your scholar to turn all work in, complete and on time.

    STAY CONNECTED

There are many ways to stay connected to our class. Let's keep the lines of communication open.

    • Students will be enrolled in a Google Classroom specific to our class. Students should check it daily for assignments and important annoucements. Although parents cannot join Google Classroom, you may ask to see it at any time. The "Classwork" section is the most relevant.
    • Parents should sign up for a Powerschool account. This is where you can keep track of current grades or missing assignments. Be sure to check Powerschool regularly in order to stay up-to-date on your scholar's progress in class.
    • Text messages and emails are sent home through BlackBoard. Please ensure that you've enabled notifications. You will also receive important updates from our district and our school through this app.
    • Phone calls home are generally made after school; please be sure the office has your most current phone number on file.
    • Please check your scholar's daily agenda (planner) to keep track of assignments and due dates. Sign the planner weekly to help your scholar stay accountable for work completion.
    • You may also choose to follow the school's Twitter or Instagram account for the latest news.
