Mrs. Recinos

Hi!

My name is April Recinos, and I would like to thank you for visiting my site. I have been teaching since 2009, and it is my privilege to be the RTI coach at Nicolas Jr. High School. 

One objective I have for my students is that they would master the skills outlined in the Content Standards, but this is only the beginning. My hope is that my students will go beyond what is required through standardized testing, and learn the skills that will truly make them successful in life. I hope they will become critical thinkers, but not skeptics. I hope they will not be satisfied with knowledge until it is accompanied by wisdom. Along with learning the fundamental skills of grade level content, my hope is they will grow in these essentials: to live in compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.

My mission for this class is to create not only scholars, but young men and women of character and integrity who will make a difference wherever they go. I am committed to making sure that all of my students know they are cared for, valued, and seen every day.
