Fullerton School District’s (FSD) Nutrition Services program will continue its participation in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) under the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs for the 2025-2026 school year. Through this program, all students in FSD have the opportunity to receive free lunch and breakfast at no cost throughout the upcoming academic year, which begins on Aug. 11.
While all students are eligible to receive free meals under this program, the Fullerton School District encourages every new and incoming family to submit an Alternate Income Form (AIF) through the district’s online Annual Information Review (AIR) system. Completing this AIF is equally important in helping families know if they qualify for many other benefits and discounts, including discounted home internet, college application fees, bus passes, and more. Moreover, when families complete the AIF, there is an increased opportunity for more school funding, which paves the way for enhanced school programs for all FSD students.
FSD’s award-winning Nutrition Services team served 1,186,838 lunches, 422,039 breakfasts, and 303,504 snacks and supper through the 2024-25 school year.
With the support of organizations like No Kid Hungry, Chef Ann Foundation, and Eat Real, FSD Nutrition Services has worked to integrate scratch cooking with locally sourced ingredients as much as possible into meals served to students. The team also offers student and parent taste-testing opportunities throughout the school year to help make informed menu selections.

Though providing over a million meals in a school year is a herculean feat alone, the FSD Nutrition Services team’s care does not end there. They also serve up experiences that make healthy living fun and memorable. By bringing interactive programs to school campuses, students get to see, taste, and explore the role nutrition plays in fueling a great school day. From the excitement of a Mobile Dairy visit to the mouthwatering aroma of a traveling BBQ, and countless activities in between, the team’s recipe for success blends innovation, dedication, and care to nourish both bodies and minds.
