Fruit Still Life
Due Date: Friday, December 10th
Objective: I can sketch and paint (watercolor) a still life of fruit using shapes and form.
Directions:
- Take a photo of the fruit still life display.
- Sketch the image using a pink, orange or yellow colored pencil.
- Make sure to include areas of highlights, shadows and cast shadows.
- Using the watercolors, layer your color.
- After your first layer dries, continue layering watercolor until you reach the desired effect.
- Submit your reference photo and your final art piece.
Rubric:
Reference photo 5 pts.
Final Fruit still life art piece 10 pts.
Watercolor detail 5 pts.
Use of form (highlights, shadows and cast shadows) 10 pts.
Total 30 pts.
