INNOVATION DESCRIPTION

  • District Office Personnel mentor pairs of students, meeting them for lunch, discussing their strengths and interests and attending field trips with them.

What is the most innovative feature of this program? 

  • District office staff take direct responsibility for knowing, interacting with and encouraging students from our Title 1 school sites over the course of a school year. Staff loops with students from 5th to 6th grade to increase the impact of the program through deeper relationships over time.
