INNOVATION DESCRIPTION

  • GATE students are invited to extend and enhance learning through creative learning experiences. The GATE Talent Academy’s philosophy is based on the tenets of design thinking and ultimately divergent thinking, leading to creative solutions. Our five Academies include a Car Design Challenge, addressing Global Goals for Sustainable Development, Abstraction and Multiple Perspectives in Art/Music, Google Earth Explorations, and Math Patterns in our World.

What is the most innovative feature of this program? 

  • This program gives our Gifted and Talented students an additional opportunity to extend their learning in areas of high interest and a fun atmosphere. Students work together in small groups, often from different schools, to solve problems, create, and innovate using divergent thinking strategies that enhance their understanding.
