INNOVATION DESCRIPTION

STAGE is a free, after-school theater arts program that culminates with a full-scale musical production. STAGE provides directors, scripts costumes, props, and sets for each production. It is a ten-week program, meeting two hours a day, two days a week. STAGE was designed to inspire, cultivate passion, and provide countless opportunities for students to have fun!
What is the most innovative feature of this program?

STAGE is an after school and summer program that is fully inclusive of all students in the Fullerton School District. Students experience the audition and rehearsal process and are ALL guaranteed to be in the show. Students are involved in creating program artwork and documenting the process by taking photos during rehearsals and creating a movie to be shown on the performance date. Students are also given opportunities to free field trips, where they attend professional theatrical productions.
