Family participation is the cornerstone to our mission of “Educating the Whole Child.” After completing the enrollment process, each family is asked to donate 3 hours of active engagement in the classroom per week. Activities might include, but are not limited to, participating in a literature discussion, re-teaching a math concept, aiding a science experiment, offering feedback on student writing, facilitating a project-based learning choice, and/or chaperoning a field study. Additionally, families are asked to share their cultural experiences and career paths with the class at large. All parents must attend training specific to this multiage classroom in order to contribute effectively.
