The courses we offer through our Middle College program are in the Career and Technical Education (CTE) fields, providing them with early exposure to in-demand career pathways, hands-on learning experiences, and a competitive edge in high school, college, and future careers.
PLEASE NOTE: Course format, days, and times are subject to change based on the needs and availability of the Fullerton College instructors. The interest list for the Spring 2026 semester will open on DECEMBER 1, 2025 and close on DECEMBER 15, 2025.
JOURNALISM

JOURNALISM 210: Multimedia Reporting
About: 54 hours lecture and 18 hours lab per term. This course focuses on media article writing and digital storytelling. Students will develop multimedia news reporting and writing techniques with an emphasis on the Web. Students research, write, and edit articles as they practice the skills of gathering information from a variety of sources. Students synthesize, edit and prepare stories for dissemination online. Students will learn the basics of visual journalism storytelling, including basic elements of shooting video, recording audio, editing video and audio, and creating news websites. A culminating project will demonstrate knowledge of reporting and writing for print and broadcast on the web. (Degree Credit) (CSU) (C-ID: JOUR 120) / 3 Units

Business 185: Creativity Matters!
About: 54 hours lecture per term. This course will increase the degree to which students recognize and nurture their creative potential in business and life. The course focuses on four aspects of creativity: the creative person, the creative process, the creative product, and the creative environment. It further emphasizes the interactive nature of these elements and provides for individual application in personal and professional settings. (Degree Credit) (CSU) AA GE, CSU GE / 3 Units

Computer Information Systems 200: Fundamentals of Computer Programming
About:
Advisory: Knowledge of elementary computer concepts18 hours lecture per term. This course will introduce basic programming terminology, concepts, and best practices related to computer programming. Students will learn the basics of writing programs using loops, statements, variables, and functions.
