JOURNALISM 210: Multimedia Reporting
About: This course focuses on media article writing and digital storytelling. Students will develop multimedia news reporting and writing techniques with an emphasis on the Web. Students research, write, and edit articles as they practice the skills of gathering information from a variety of sources. Students synthesize, edit and prepare stories for dissemination online. Students will learn the basics of visual journalism storytelling, including basic elements of shooting video, recording audio, editing video and audio, and creating news websites. A culminating project will demonstrate knowledge of reporting and writing for print and broadcast on the web. Transfer Credits: CSU / 3 Units.

COMPUTER INFORMATION SYSTEMS (CIS) 200: Fundamentals of Computer Programming
About: This course will introduce basic programming terminology, concepts, and best practices related to computer programming. Students will learn the basics of writing programs using loops, statements, variables, and functions. Additional topics will include program design, flow charting, basic computer architecture and debugging techniques.
