Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee

Background
On January 14, 2025, the Fullerton School Board of Education adopted a resolution establishing a Citizens' Oversight Committee to inform the public concerning the District's expenditure bond proceeds, review Measure N bond expenditures and present an annual report to the Board of Education as set forth in Proposition 39, chaptered at Section 15264 et seq. of the California Education Code.
Composition of the Committee
In accordance with Proposition 39 and the CBOC Bylaws, the composition of the committee is as follows:
Seven members to serve for a term of two years without compensation and for no more than three consecutive terms.
* One (1) member shall be the parent or guardian of a child enrolled in the District.
* One (1) member shall be both a parent or guardian of a child enrolled in the District and active in a parent-teacher organization, such as the P.T.A or a school site council.
* One (1) member active in a business organization representing the business community located in the District.
* One (1) member active in a senior citizens organization.
* One (1) member active in a bona fide taxpayers' organization.
* Two (2) members of the community at-large.
Qualification Standards
* To be a qualified person, he or she must be at least 18 years of age.
* The Committee may not include any employee, Governing Board member or official of the District or any vendor, contractor or consultant of the District.

The District is currently seeking new applicants for the Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC).
The CBOC is asking for your support in communicating with your colleagues in our community about this opportunity to serve our District by applying to become a CBOC member.
