CTE
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
While CTE isn't a defined program. It provides students with opportunities to explore career paths and learn about the education and preparation for a variety of careers. Through partnerships through ROP and other organizations and businesses, students not only learn about careers, but get hands-on experiences. While there are some opportunities for elementary students, CTE is primarily geared toward junior high students. FSD is one of the few districts that provides CTE opportunities to junior high students. This is significant because California students have demonstrated a lack of college and career readiness.
By the end of eighth grade, students should be able to demonstrate a grade appropriate proficiency in CTE career readiness standards.
