Preschool Programs

  • The Preschool Program is committed to creating a child-centered environment that meets each child’s unique needs and prepares them to become lifelong learners. We focus on providing meaningful learning experiences that nurture the whole child, fostering their physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth. While maintaining shared program goals, our teachers embrace diverse teaching styles and designs. Each site is tailored to reflect its community’s unique strengths and needs, ensuring every child feels valued, included, and supported in their educational journey. Fullerton School District offers two programs to support the diverse needs of our community:

Part Day - (CSPP) offers free preschool services for eligible families with children aged 3 to 5. Classes are held for 3 hours daily, with morning and afternoon sessions offered at most locations. Part Day Preschool follows the pupil attendance calendar of the Fullerton School District.

    Inclusive Co-Teaching Preschool Model
This model features two certified teachers—one in General Education and one in Special Education—who collaborate to share responsibilities in teaching, planning, and assessing student progress. The co-teaching approach ensures that the diverse needs of all students are met. This program is available at the Pacific Drive, Commonwealth, and Orangethorpe sites.

    Integrated Inclusive Preschool Model
In this model, students with physical impairments or moderate disabilities are integrated with general education students while receiving support from two certified teachers, one in General Education and one in Special Education. This program is offered at the Woodcrest site.

Full Day/Full Year - (CSPP) is open year-round. The program operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eligibility and need criteria must be met by the family. Various factors, such as parents' working hours, seeking employment, attendance in school, pursuit of permanent housing, or incapacitation, are considered when determining need.
