  • Watercolor Landscape Using Shapes

    Objective: Students will simplify natural shapes in a landscape using 8 watercolor techniques. 

    DUE DATE : NOVEMBER 5th

    Directions: 

    1. Watercolor:  10 points

    On a large piece of construction paper, practice 8 varieties of watercolor techniques. 

    • wash
    • dry brush
    • salt
    • plastic wrap
    • wax resist
    • wet on wet
    • splatter
    • value

    2. Sketch :  5 points

    Create a plan for your landscape.  Your plan will include a drawing and labels for each shape. 

    3. Paper piecing landscape using watercolor samples: 15 points

    • Use all 8 watercolor samples.  +5pts
    • Fill your page with layers and shapes. +10pts.

    Total 30 points
